Convention of JANACHETANA MANCHA, peoples’ forum of West Bengal, held today (29th November, 2009) at SUJATA SADAN, KOLKATA.
Convention started with paintings against violent politics and candles lighted by children. Near about 200-225 people were present there. AMLAN DUTTA, SAIFUDDIN CHOUDHURY, SARAT KR MUKHOPADHAY, KISWAR JAHAN were also present and they delivered speech. Due to some personal assignment ex LOKSABHA SPEAKER SOMNATH CHATTERJEE couldn’t attend the convention. But in a video speech he appealed to people to raise voice against violent politics and in favour of sustainable development and to join JANACHETANA MANCHA. Draft resolution placed by UTTAL GHOSH. 21 persons discussed at the convention.
